  • What are your specific goals for the upcoming Fitness appraisal? (12-minutes run, push- ups, sit-ups, wall-squat, side-hops, plank) 

My goal for the upcoming Fitness appraisal is to successfully complete it and to push my limits to the maximum I can. I want to see what my limit are regarding fitness.

  • What’s the point of doing a warm up? 

It will prepare your body for your workout as well as improve your performance. It will also prevent muscle and joint injuries. Your body temperature will increase gradually and it will increase muscle elasticity and joint mobility. The oxygen you will inhale will supply your muscles and prepare you to successfully complete your workout.

  • What constitutes a successful warm up? 

A successful warm up is when your body temperature increases, the range of motions your joints move at increase as you warm up, which means your body will be more flexible than usual.

  • What’s the point of doing a cool down?

The point in doing a cool down is to calm your heart rate as well as regulate your breathing. After an intensive workout, cooling down is an important factor because it allows your body recover from the exercises you have done. Your body temperature will cool down, as well as prevent you from feeling light headed and nauseous after a work out.

  • When is the best time to stretch and why? 

The best time to stretch is before and after doing a workout. If you stretch before working out, there will be less chances for you to get hurt while doing your workout because your body is ready. The increased range of motion will give you a chance to When you stretch after a workout, it prevents your body to feel as sore as if you didn’t stretch.

  • Why is stretching important? 

Stretching is important because it keeps the muscles flexible, which means the range of motion of your joints increases. it provides you a good posture, releases tension in your body, increases energy, reduces soreness as well as frees’ up your mind.
